To paraphrase Neil Gaiman "We people who make Fantasy and SF, live in houses other people built." I agree. Personally it is hard for me to find a recent title that holds my interest compared to the the classics from Tolkien, Moorcock, Howard, etc. I picked this collected TPB up on a whim at my local comic shop, and I was beyond impressed. The narrative is small, but the story is good. As many others have said -- the art shines, especially with the size format Petersen uses (8x8 instead of standard 6 1/2 x 10). It is absolutely gorgeous. Petersen has created his own world which thankfully he shows no signs of abandoning anytime soon. My only complaint, (which did not personally affect me), would be that the first 2-3 issues of the "Fall" series contain very little dialogue and are breezed through by the reader. I can imagine this would have been frustrating for those who bought the individual issues in 2006. I must highly recommend the collected volume of this book, as well as the second book "Winter". Keep an eye on Petersen.Get more detail about Mouse Guard: Fall 1152 (Mouse Guard Graphic Novels (Quality Paper)).
